The application of lacquer on lace brings into being a timeless, refined and tactile combination of Western and Japanese arts & crafts.
For our Lace Urushi fountain pens, we exclusively use certified hand-made lace from Bruges. Truly hand-made lace of superior quality is becoming rare – just like Japanese urushi and maki-e art and craft. Therefore most of the lace we use on our Lace Urushi fountain pens is antique and only available in very limited quantities.
